and the semester has ended. but it doesn't feel like it because there's still fyp which is a lot of work ongoing and also to do if you ask me. we are still in the planning stage, due to launch next month and with a tight timeline to adhere to, it will be a lie to say that i'm not stressed about it.
but i have officially ended the three modules that i have taken in my seventh semester of uni with the submission of my essay this past Tuesday! the modules i took were rather fun and interesting, or should i say the module was interesting because of the lecturer. i finally got the are you ok? mental health module after being on the waitlist for n number of semesters and failing to get it. but i got it this year and it was an online module with three quizzes and an essay, exactly 25% for each assessment. i think i did rather not bad for the modules but the mean for the assessments are really high to it scares me. another module i took was popular cinema and we watched movies every single week! this module exposed me to different kinds of Western films, films that i honestly would not watch voluntarily so i learnt a lot from this module. there are three tests and an essay for this module but the percentages differ. class participation counts too so you gotta be physically present. not gonna lie sometimes i almost fell asleep watching the 2-hour long films in the comfy seat of lflt after lunch time... and the most stressful module of the semester other than fyp is korean level 4... its just really new grammar and vocabulary every single lesson with different practices. i cannot emphasise how important it is to remember what we learnt in level 3... because my class forgot it at the beginning of the semester and then my tutor looked worried for us. well. it's good revision. i always tell myself to revise what i learnt from previous levels before going to the next level but sometimes the content just doesn't stick!
so yes that was my semester. at this point of time, i'm used to travelling from home to ntu, though i gotta say i miss the convenience of hall and the company of my hall friends every time i take the 179... and pass by hall 1...
i've got one more semester to go and one more module to take. i had initially saved the module for korean level 5 but honestly i'm still not sure what i will eventually take. maybe japanese or spanish level 1? who knows. the higher level of korean really scares me and i am having second thoughts about pursuing a minor in korean but we'll see how it goes!!
winter break isn't actually a break but ok let's chiong for fyp! gotta use fyp to (try to) pull my gpa up!
all the love and till next time x
