this past weekend, me, my sister and together with theo's family went to kl for a holiday trip! it's a long story how it ended up being joey and i tagging with their family, but it was a fun weekend and i really enjoyed myself since it was the first time that i was visiting kl. (i know, it's hard to believe) but i can finally say that i've been to kl now and seen the twin tower with my own eyes! i mean, technically i have seen the twin towers from afar when we were heading to genting by coach before but this time, it's different. 

14 december, saturday

our 8am coach got cancelled, and we changed to one which departed at 7.15am. it was a nice rainy saturday morning but we did not manage to sleep in. well. we were stuck in a jam, got to spend time with theo on the way, and we finally reached kl at 3pm! we had lunch at a food coourt (WE WERE STARVING) before theo, titus, joey and i booked a grab to puchong because we were going to join the kl campus for their retreat! (funny how i did not join the singapore uni retreat right before because of my eye infection HAHAH) but yes we checked in at our hotel first to put down all our barang barang before getting another grab to the residence where the retreat was held at. no joke, my hands were cold and i was mad nervous about fellowshiping HAHA. we didn't know where to go once we reached the venue but we heard some people shouting from the pool and theo was like "that one confirm is them" so we followed the sound and sure enough, we found them. we watched them for a while and met some of them who were not involved in the pool games. i mean, theo said hi to them first because she knows them and then she introduced us to them HAHAH - like isaac, samuel, tiffany, amanda and joshua tin could differentiate me and joey surprise surprise!! then we went up to the house where we met more disciples and chilled. only at around 9pm did the steamboat dinner start but it was a good and filling one! talked to  joshua loo and the sisters and we literally ate until like what almost 11pm? then we played some games and fellowshipped until like 12+ before chervonne drove us back to our hotel ((thank you so much chervonne))!! 

15 december, sunday

the three of us squeezed on one king-sized bed but we slept pretty soundly probably because we were dead tired from the previous night's lack of sleep. we checked out at 8am and chervonne and becca fetched us back to the venue ((thank youuuuuu)) the sisters had breakfast at the macdonalds nearby and i got to spend time with tiffany, a sister i only got to meet the previous day. apparently she had heard about us before so for her, we were finally meeting HAHAH it was a great time getting to know her better and i'm so so thankful for new friendships like that! we then went back to the residence for home church service where joshua ong and natalie were sharing. joshua was like "eh you look familiar" HAHAH and i got to catch up with yannis before the service started! service was bibletalk-style discussions where everyone were involved. a short video montage was played before we had more games involving balloons!! there was lunch too - beehoon and sticky rice and theo telling everyone (ok no, just jason and jeremy) that we were older than her HAHAH help la. we fellowshipped until around 3pm before we left and headed to kl. grateful for the opportunity to get to know some more kl disciples during this trip through their retreat! we grabbed to our kl hotel to check in and theo had her extended family lunch so me and joey had our own plans. of course, coming to kl for the first time, we had to do some tourity stuff. we went to nu sentral to have dinner first (some good dim sum) before heading to klcc!! took many many pictures with the twin towers and the public bank behind it hehe and apparently, ameerul was also at klcc at the same time as us!! but wa really no fate with this guy la. we reached back the hotel at 10ish and theo came over and we talked. it's always very interesting conversations hehe 

16 december, monday

had breakfast with joey and chionged some cards before grabbing to jump street. we were late, but everyone else was later HAHAH it was a trampoline park where we spent the whole day at. from shooting hoops to getting into the foam pit and riding the zipline, it was some good exercise after all the eating we've done over the weekend. we got the unlimited pass, so we left at around 2pm to have lunch - some street food cendol and rojak which were so so so good omg. and then after lunch we played some card games with some bubble tea bets before going to jump again until like 7.30. dropped jermy off (thanks for hanging out with us!) and fetched yannis who just ended her first day of intern to go to dinner! aaa so grateful to yannis for spending time with us after her intern!! we had some mee goreng and nasi lemak at some alley way which was so good as well and we ate till like 9plus. dropped yannis at an mrt station before we headed to get some black whale bubble tea, samuel's recommendations. we chilled and talked at black whale until 12 midnight before samuel dropped us at our hotel. wa thanks samuel for everything really really appreciate it! 

17 december, tuesday 

time to go back. had breakfast at the coffee shop opposite our hotel - was some good shredded chicken hor fun and wanton mee!! ate our fill and went back to our hotel to pack up before checking out and heading to the bus terminal! our coach was at 10.30 and the trip back took like 7 hours again. think i only slept for the last hour and got to spend time with theo again!!! more real talk and emotions poured out i'm so grateful for you theo and our friendship and i'm so so sad that you will be gone for the next five months :-( but yes altogether it was a good trip and i really enjoyed myself and the fellowship and here's to more trips ahead!
