did it

hey ho whats up yo!! five tests later, sleep deprived, i am finally done with the semester! okay not really, i still have a report due next week, but as of now, i am more or less done with school for the semester and technically for the academic year as well! well, because i will be on internship next semester.
not gonna lie, the semester felt really really long to me because i started it alone with all of my close friends not being physically in ntu. it was a struggle for me to go to class alone because i am a person who really really needed my comfort zone with me especially when something new happens. but i'm glad i managed to pull through the past 13 weeks. i especially am grateful for the familiar faces in some of my classes, and being able to make new friends in other classes as well. i really survived this semester just texting annying!! i also personally feel like i learnt a lot of things this semester - from learning about the pr industry and sustainability in singapore, even to visiting different advertising and pr agencies, i was really exposed to what my future may look like after i graduate and it was an eye-opening experience for me.
i got to take part in my first mj-related performance as well. it was a short journey, but a crazy, wild and fun one. it was the first time i had practices until 1.30am. it was the first time i had haidilao. it was the first time i stayed up overnight this semester. it was my first time choreographing. it was such a fulfilling experience and i gotta thank my group mates for accepting me. once again, being honest i actually didn't had the feels to take part in sptc because i was just
scared and intimidated by all the really good dancers around me. but i somehow am glad that sptc was made compulsory for me and even though i did not have anyone i was comfortable with at first, i got to meet other mj members of different years.
i also finally danced with amethyx again after more than a year and it was for the pre red carpet show for kamp singapore! it was a hectic two weeks prior to the performance as we had to come up with proposals and practice and clean and mix the music and learn steps and do all these, on top of our own responsibilities and commitments. it was such an experience for our dance crew and checkmate whom we collabed with, to come up with two 10-minute items for both days. it was amethyx's biggest stage so far and i felt like this really gave us a lot of exposure to the public. it was great performing again with amethyx and the fanchants were unexpectedly loud! honestly, i was shocked that the organiser approached us because we had no dance covers of any of the artists coming before, but i am really really grateful they did.
speaking of which, i watched my first concert since coming back to singapore from korea! kamp was a two-day event but i only went for one day because i was feeling really really sick on saturday. i really wanted to geh kiang and watch a free concert but i know it was not gonna be good for my body on sunday since i had major dance roles so i slept my whole saturday away. thank goodness i got way better on sunday and was able to finish off the stage! performers of day 2 were momoland who celebrated their third debut anniversary, wjsn whose fan service were on point, sonnet son, stray kids and super junior. i liked the groups that come, but i don't consider myself stanning them, but i had tons of fun.... the weekend before hell week. oh well.
i've got some post-semester plans right now which do include dancing. but first, i'll catch up on some lost sleep.
till next time x
the end is near

just some short and quick updates as we finish off week 11 today!! just two (2) more weeks of school until the end of the semester! the end is indeed near!!
so sptc ended. i wanted to do a whole post on sptc and stuff but i think i'm a very lazy person and anyway i journalled it down as part of my multimedia project for creative writing and i think i'm just gonna leave it as it is. long story short, i finally took part in an mj-related performance which happens to be a competition! it had been a wild ride as i met more new people in mj, choreographed for the first time in my entire life, and had practices till like 1.30am. had haidilao for the first time and stayed up all night for the first time this semester as well. wow all the firsts for me with gttc! very very grateful for the people who came all the way down to pulau ntu to witness my first mj performance thank youuuu!! and i feel so lucky to have met gttc - a bunch of weird people who only wanted to have fun and learn since the beginning.
i also went for mj classes this week and we had our batch hip hop module assessment today. apparently it's a thing. but i never came for saturday classes last year because of work so i wouldn't know HAHAH but yes. out of three classes that the seniors taught the choreo, i only went for like one class, and i learnt the rest of the choreo through the videos that they send in the group so i would actually think i did my best. especially since i know nothing much about hip hop and its basics since i came from a ballet background like 10 years ago... but it was fun just dancing i guess. thank goodness pt wasn't too intense today if not i think i would have died. also had lunch with melussa after saturday class for the first time today! it really says something and we have to work things out.......
as for school, i kinda am struggling to stay afloat. with external commitments and stuff like that, i should be able to survive la this is not the first time that my semester has been this hectic. let's get it! i had my korean speech test this week and i think i did okay at some parts but also messed up at other parts but we'll see how it goes! i'm still considering to pursue a minor in korean language i really am still thinking about it....
and also good news is that i've secured an internship! girl won't be internship-less next semester! even though i don't know who else will be interning at the same company as me, i really hope that the semester will go well and that i will be able to learn new things about the pr industry that i never knew before. 22 weeks, five months. i have to prepare myself for the 9-6 life from now.
as of now, i'm trying to prepare for the two presentations that i have on monday. the upcoming week is also going to be another hectic week as amethyx prepares for our kamp performance. this will be a story for another day.
till next time x
