one week of 2019 has passed and i have been going out every single day, since the last friday of 2018. this is a surprise to me as i have not been going out of the house much since winter break started. but these past 10 days, my energy has all been drained but going out of the house had been worth it.

went to the church countdown party, and this year, we stayed till midnight and danced for awhile. the feels hadn't hit me yet, but 2019 is gonna be an exciting year ahead. my first words to tricia this year is that we're turning 21! it seems so surreal.

on the 1st of january, we went to the marina bay carnival with amethyx. the first group of people we made plans with this new year. spent exactly $50 on rides and a drink and it was honestly so much fun??? we took the carousell, some jumpy thingy, the roller coaster, the viking, the tornado thingy - some of which the safety seat made my ear bleed. but it was so fun i loved it! most of the rides were just me and joey going on it cos the rest just......... ate first.

2nd jan i was nervous and scared but i took a step out of the house and went to climb bukit timah hill with bosco sissi regine (THANK GOD SHE WAS THERE) sherwin ian jeremy ryan. ian asked me who invited me i was like excuseeee and he said it's the 3rd consecutive day seeing me at a hangout and that's a record and it honestly is. we climbed to the summit in like less than an hour? there was a steep slope then an okay manageable slope then a flight of stairs. during the last flight of stairs up, i could feel my muscles turning sore already. but honestly this exercise on the second day of the new year... jared joined us when we returned down, and we dabao-ed to jeremy's place to rest and chill. played with jeremy's dog who is pretty old but ughhh i love dogs. bosco played the piano and this one piece which i watched online that yook seungjae tried to play also!!! afterwards, me bosco sissi sherwin went to chinatown because sissi wanted to go and we were joined by eline andrew and robbie. sissi was so happy she got to eat her beijing food she even did a mukbang!! we then walk walk and they got some ice cream and nicole popped by to say hi! then we headed back home anddd it was a long long tiring day.

i woke up in the morning of 3rd jan surprised that my leg muscles were not aching!!! and i went to hang out with bosco and sissi they all again, bringing joey along. crish was shocked to see joey and she said she expected me to come already so zzz. and finally got to hang out with theo who was gonna go overseas again!!! we ate jollibee and bosco was so happy to have eaten it. then bosco got his ears pierced!!! this rebel at the age of 19 really... we then met sissi before we headed to gardens by the bay, where the locals waited for the two foreigners to go upstairs and take a look. we then headed to the carnival again! i was so so tempted to take the rides, but i didn't. and a bunch of them took the mach 5... my hands were really sweating for them. we then headed to makansutra for dinner and was joined by joe ten. then we walked to the merlion where we took a couple of touristy shots, stayed till 10 plus i think before going home!! long long tiring day really.

on 4th jan i went on a date with bosco. this was honestly planned by crish like one week ago. we met at jurong east and had lunch. bosco asked me what i wanted to eat and crish told him to surprise me, same with the drink HAHAH got to learn so much about bosco over lunch he has such a comical life i was really so amused. we then headed to science centre where we walked a lot and took a couple of photos before having one on one time. during the one on one time, me and bosco literally just sat on the sofa at one of the exhibits there and just talked. bosco is young both physically and spiritually but i had such an encouraging talk with him, hearing about his life, his goals and everything. really inspired by him sia. we then headed to midweek at smu where we were joined by the ns ministry and!!! saw chanel! welcome back!

first day of work of the week and i had to go to the clementi branch instead. it was so peaceful though. afterwards, i chilled at clementi starbucks writing cards and doing my qt, before heading to chinatown to meet sissi and joey for dinner. we had more chinese food, sissi's recommendations, and she felt homesick. we then headed to the cathay to catch more than blue. it was honestly a cliche romance show but like i cried, and sissi cried even harder wanting to find bosco but bosco was like wat. HAHAHA since sissi's phone died, we sent her home, and she didn't even trust us even though we had google maps! though it was a short time spent with sissi, it was a good good time as well.

loved the worship and sermon on the first sunday service on 6th jan, even teared up a couple of times. stayed back sooooo long for fellowship and joined a huge group of people for lunch wow before heading back to church to k and chill and wait for time to pass with sissi bosco regine caryl cas all. sissi isaac caryl cas and us took the public transport to the airport ahhhh it's real bosco is flying off already. we had a quick dinner at t3 before heading back to t2 at 9.10 when bosco's boarding time was at 9.35!!! he really kept saying he didn't want to leave and hoped that his flight will delay. he cried even before stepping through the departure gates! after they went in, sissi also cried even though she has another 24 hours. ahhhh it's been such a long week going out almost every day to hangout with sissi and bosco and they're going back already.

sending sissi off on monday night of 7 jan made me feel so empty.. i've been spending almost one whole week together with her, she brought us so much laughter (and stress), but i know that goodbyes are inevitable. so grateful for this new-found friendship with this aunty la! she sent me a video of her crying in the plane and i almost teared up in the bus on the way home.

from 8-10 jan, ntu ministry had our very own retreat in jb! we had our ntu chalet last year, and this year, we crossed borders! matt was gonna be the only brother but luckily aaron came! and there were 7 sisters altogether - what a big dgroup. we had breakfast at macs before heading to jb and then we ate dtf!!!! i only ate the xlbs because i was still quite full but its ok at least i got my dtf fix! we then headed to our airbnb place. we needed the access card to go into the residence but nicole climbed in through the window to open the door for us! we then had a little bit of trouble opening the letter box to retrieve the key, but nicole managed to slip her hand through the hole to retrieve it. we did not get into trouble for that luckily. our apartment was on the 23rd floor and the lift was moving sooo slowly we thought we were gonna get claustrophobic. we played some bonding games and had some sharings before we went out and attempted to walk to ksl by foot. but while walking halfway, we saw a mookata buffet place for 22RM and that's where we settled dinner at. we also went one round of encouraging one another so it was a good time spent. we then headed back to our airbnb to wash up and watched war room, which really convicted me as i saw the power of prayer. me and yunsheen then talked all the way till 2am before we slept. the next morning, i did devo with ashley nicole elaine and regine about 1 John which was the book we needed to read before the church workshop that weekend. fiona (and lubin) came and joined us afterwards then we had our first dgroup of the year with sharings! i left after dgroup to some cafe near city square to meet my ant friends!!!!! surprise Tan jingwen and peishi and everybody i think cos i was plotting with lisa hehehe. finally reunited with these people after so long and welcome back to singapore hanrong!!! after eating lunch, we went to a nice milk tea place where only gary bought milk tea to take pictures, then we bought hiap joo banana cake (hot and fresh out of the oven). it was so good. really so good. we then headed back to city square and watched aquaman so that the guys could sleep.... the movie theatre was pretty empty and i dont know, i feel like i enjoyed more than blue more than aquaman because the latter is fantasy. personal opinion only. we then walk walk somemore at the mall beside city square before i left them to join the ntu ministry again at ksl. the ntu ministry had just settled some admin stuff when i joined them, so they played some claw machines before we headed opposite the mall for zichar dinner! i ate till i almost had a food coma, but it was so so good man. fiona and lubin left after dinner, and we headed back to the airbnb to wash up and present each other with the gifts. it was something like secret santa and it was pretty encouraging. :-) this marked the end of the retreat, and we played overcooked! i was so stressed out rip but then i slept quite early because i was really tired. on the last day, we checked out of the airbnb earlier than expected because there was nothing to do, and we went to walk walk around city square otot before meeting up for lunch. we went outside city square and had roast pork, roast chicken, roast duck everything it was so so good i almost had a food coma afterwards. thank God there was no jam at the custom.

on 10 jan for dinner, i went to meet up with the ant people and we ate at grub for the mala burger! shiquan suffered a lot but angus suffered more. lusin and kangxun came with a cake surprise surprise! and i ate till i was very full. hongkai and yeowkuan joined us as well, and we were the last customers to leave at almost 10 - i apologise for making so much noise and a little bit of mess. we then walked a good 45 minutes to bishan mrt i almost died... but it was a good evening of catching up with the hall friends because we probably would not be able to meet each other again in hall like this. also, me lusin peishi jingwen and lisa wore the matching unicorn earrings which we bought in malaysia the previous day heheh

from 11-13 Jan, we had a church workshop related to the church theme of this year. i was really convicted after the workshop! on 13 Jan, we had a sisters lunch to welcome the incoming batch of uni sisters yay! also, i managed to book my flight for exchange.

on 14 jan monday, i went to apply for my visa for exchange. then i headed to scape to kill time before meeting a buyer at city hall then i went to chill at bugis+ cbtl before meeting peishi! it was honestly an impromptu plan because i woke up in the morning and the first message i saw was from her asking me if i had any plans today - and i don't. so we met and walked around, had $20 mala for dinner and ate till our stomachs were full. i got godiva afterwards and thankfully did not have a stomachache. we then headed to the airport together because we had friends to send off. i went to send crish off - bye bye. there were kim and caryl and theo and joseph teo there too so i was a little more relieved hehe. bye crish.

right now, i'm still trying to settle some more exchange stuff. i have a lot of administrative stuff to settle, and it's lowkey making me a little bit stressed because it's so slow. but i've come in contact with the Busan church already! slow and steady, God if it is your will, let it be.

it has been a good three weeks, and i'm toning down things a little bit right now.
