from 9 to 12 july, i went to cambodia for the first time. i did not blog about it in june 2013, but in one of my posts in august 2013, there was a collage of skype calls with the cambodian teens whom we met two months earlier. context: in june 2013, a group of cambodians came to singapore for a school trip and we grew pretty close to them throughout their stay here. since then, i've always wanted to go to cambodia to visit them and the country. in 2015, another batch came and since i had the time, i got to hung out with them and made more new friends. this year, after five years since i first met my cambodian friends and since my bank account allows, i went to cambodia. it was quite an impromptu decision for me as i booked my flight two weeks prior to the trip... during work. but i was excited to finally be visiting another southeast asian country and to be reuniting with some friends. i had a good time in cambodia, doing tourist-y things like visiting the genocide museum which i learnt about in history, and doing local things like eating balut (duck embryo). and yes i cried as the plane left cambodia. i collated the videos i took in cambodia into one, i'll link it below! 

to end off the week, on friday the 13th, i saw wanna one for the first time! it was a good good time except for the strict security. my favourite part of the night has got to be always, when the boys did not sing the chorus but instead, everyone in the audience sang to it. i had the chills.
