YAY, and in 3 days, i'm done with common tests!! so today is day 1 of the 6 days holiday!!! because i have no paper today (thursday), friday is good friday, saturday and sunday weekend, monday is marking day and tuesday is a holiday because our seniors did well for A levels and we ranked number 1 in the value-added list so thank you seniors!!!! well common test was pressurising and stressful for me i can't imagine how it would be like in a few months' time when it is my actual A levels. i have no clue how i did, i will only know next week, but i am so amazed with my hand being able to write 12 essays in three days! (2 on monday, 8 essays on tuesday and 2 on wednesday LOL life of an arts student) but i hoPE i will spend the next 6 days wisely...

so yesterday after common test we made a short trip to malaysia for good food and when we came back at around 4+, i started slacking and i fell asleep from 6pm and only woke up at 12.25am. (what -- that's the actual amount of sleep i get on a normal day) and i forced myself to sleep at 2am because i wanted to wake up early to go to the library to study but i kinda got lazy so i'm staying at home today HAHA.

also, unfortunately for me (and joey and jas), our birthday was on monday while we were in the midst of common test!! it suckssssss because our birthday usually fall during the march holidays but when we turn 18, we had to be having common test -- lit paper 1 and math. just saying, jcube (that's our name in math class) are the underperforming math students in class HAHA. but anyway, i'd like to thank the people who wished me be it in text or in real life. tbh, some of the birthday messages i received were totally unexpected but thank you friends!! and also shout out to ku and hengjie for coming to our house (what the) though you coincidentally and luckily met my sis at the mrt station HAHA and i was wondering why ku kept texting me that afternoon and kept asking me whether i was at home HAHAHAH all the love!! thanks you two for the one hour catch up session standing under my block too all the love!!!! so below are some of the photos we took with jas in school & also when the two aunties came to our block HAHAH

march hols and cts

SHORT POST BECAUSE I NEEDA STUDY :(

and BOOM, one week of "march holidays" is over. back to school tomorrow for the dreaded common test. honestly i literally did not do anything during the holidays except for studying. went to the library like almost every single day except on friday to get the content inside my head and try to do some math. update: my math still sucks. so yeah on friday we went to school for consultation before heading to church to study with crish and we took a break at like 4-ish and went to waterway point where we bumped into a number of campus people and then we went back to study until service started. and that's about how my week of march holidays went.

the next three days are gonna be intense because common test. i'm really scared because how well (or badly) you do in common test determines who you meet during mtp. and i definitely do not want to meet the key personnels (not even my ct js) oh well. i don't think i'll be able to do well for cts but i really really really hope i can pass at least?? it's. so. stressful. but at least we end one day earlier than the majority of our cohort because guess who takes H1 math?!?!?! HAHA okay wish me luck.

here's to 8 more months of studying. don't judge me or think i'm weird, but i MIGHT just like studying a little bit.

end of term 1

so i finally get to say that i survived term 1 of JC2. it's our only legit term 1 of two years in JC because last year we only came into the school at the end of february. it's been a really long and tiring term trying to catch up with my studies after slacking off for so long. it's the march holidays and lucky for us, we do not have to go back to school for extra lessons because the principal wants us to use this hols to consolidate our learning materials for common tests which is right after the march holidays... and the thought of CTs really freaks me out.

i haven't been in my best form so far, in school and also spiritually. i get distracted so easily from my homework and my relationship with God by so many things - school things, social media and even sleep. where is the discipline and self control that i really need!! school had been such a drag for me with so many things happening and the amount of content to be absorbed in lectures and tutorials are crazy -- at least for me. there had been so many things happening that i don't really have a proper time to sit down and study or even have a good quiet time. or maybe it's just because i'm a pro at procrastinating and i'm just lazy 24/7. but after talking to a friend (thank you) this morning, i deleted all my social media in my phone today - twitter, facebook, snapchat, facebook and even askfm. hopefully this will allow me to focus more on my relationship with God and also won't be a distraction for me when i study.

i am totally not excited for the week ahead which is the supposed "march holidays" as i will be trying to get history and econs content into my head while familiarizing myself with my lit texts and practicing maths, but i will try my best. and hopefully during this short holiday i will work on my relationship with God.

honestly having mixed feelings about CTs and even more about A levels in a couple months' time. i feel that there are expectations to be met, and i definitely don't feel prepared at all - not even for CTs. gotta buck up.

slfl singapore!!

3 march 2016. sounds live feels live tour 2016. 5 seconds of summer. singapore. i thought i would never get to see them on their first show in singapore but i had a chance to!! i was so excited because come on, it's 5sos!! i couldn't concentrate in school since wednesday and when thursday came i was just looking forward to the end of school. we went home and changed and ate dinner before we left for the star theatre because it was finally d-day!!!

doors opened at like 7 but we went in at around 7.40-ish or something idk and i had the chills just being in the theatre because i obviously can't believe that i was finally gonna see 5sos in flesh!!! so from then all the way till 8.20-ish (i think they were late for around 20 minutes), they played random songs which got the crowd hyped and also when the crew members got on stage, everyone screamed like crazy. and the lights dimmed.

AND 5SOS CAME ONSTAGE.

they started with carry on as the intro and obviously there was plenty of screaming???? michael was playing the keyboard and we also sang la. then after carry on it was straightaway through the next song which was hey everybody which got everyone jumping like crazy. me included. i mean duh i was screaming out the lyrics i think the people in front and beside me were judging me. but i can't help it, it's 5sos and i had to enjoy the concert!! the next song was also quite a hype song - money and then it was disconnected!!! i was so glad i got to hear disconnected live because i love love love this song so much!! and also during the last part where everyone sang "oh oh ohhhh oh oh oh ohhhh oh ohhhh" that part (yeah you know), luke raised his mic in the air. :) then they talked for awhile and they intro-ed don't stop as the song where "we wore super hero costumes in" and yeah don't stop was also really really fun!!! afterwards they talked again about the sgfg album, and it was heartache on the big screen!! loved that song too. afterwards it was waste the night where the first fan project took place. i actually cried halfway during the song because i think i still can't believe they're real????? and during castaway, they also got us to sing the "oh oh oh" part. after castaway, the lights dimmed a little and everyone went offstage except michael. the spotlight was on him and he started singing jet black heart!! this was when the second fan project took place and i think we sang quite loudly too during the chorus. afterwards, luke and calum talked about what happened backstage. luke said he went backstage to pee and when he came back onstage he was just in time for his verse. and calum said "i went in and i sat in a box. not in a box on a box because i thought it was closed. and i actually fell inside the box" HAHAHA CALUM PLS. and michael said "i wished someone recorded that" and when michael asked "you know what i did backstage?" luke replied "you didn't go backstage" "oh" HAHAHAH I CANNOT THAT ONE I LEGIT LAUGH. then calum thanked everyone for attending their first show in singapore. he said something like "thank you to every single one of you for coming out to our first ever singapore show that we've ever played. this is.. i wish i could say that words out i'm thinking in my head but i can't" and luke finished the sentence with "this is amazing"!! and before they played amnesia, calum asked to "have the lights switched on so that i can see all my friends" and i think he asked to read the signs and told everyone told hold up their signs or hold up a peace sign if they haven't got a sign HAHAH and yeah amnesia was so beautiful because everyone were shining their lights and singing too. then it was beside you (another of my favourite song) and like the last part was literally so so beautiful when everybody sang the last part together it was just the audience and michael and calum clapped afterwards!!!! then luke introduced vapour as his "favourite song off the album" before ashton talked to us. he talked a whole lot about how he had thought for 55 to an hour to think of what to say and he asked if we can sing, dance, jump etc and he said "if you're having a good time, we're having a good time, we'll come right back asap" something along those lines. and he also told us to jump like crazy for the next few songs which were end up here, voodoo doll and good girls. calum also said "sorry it took 4 and a half years" and i think luke asked "how many of yall have seen us before" and it was just a few hands and ashton said "that's only like 15 of you. and how many of yall haven't" and the whole went crazy and he said "that's all that matters" and i thinkk michael also said "i did the most australian thing today. i ate a vegemite burger before coming onstage" it was crazy i legit loved end up here and i think it was the most hyped song of the entire night? literally everyone was jumping during the chorus!!! and during good girls there was a part when calum sang "and if you ask her she'll say" and michael replied "I SPEAK SINGLISH" which got the crowd screaminggggg. and afterwards before permanent vacation, michael came up with a song for us. he kept changing the tune and lyrics and it finally became like "sing sing singapore singapore singaporeeeee" and when luke tried to join, michael would change the lyrics. but yeah it was super cool when they added in the beats and stuff!!! and the next song was permanent vacation which was another hype song!! before the song, michael got us to say "1, 2, 1 2 3 4" and calum was jumping around while luke pointed out the numbers. and from the last sentence of michael's part all the way to the end, michael just kept repeating "singapore" and we're just like hauischsihcifw in the audience cos!!!! then it was their last song, what i like about you before the encore and everyone was jumping too. then during the encore when all of them went backstage everyone started screaming again. my ears felt like they were blocked and i felt like i couldn't hear myself and i also actually cried again bc emotional!!!!1!! and for the encore, when they reappeared again, i cried again and it was she's kinda hot and we all jumped like crazy again and for the last song of the night, they sang their debut single - she looks so perfect. i was just immersed in the atmosphere during that song because i don't know when i'll see them ever again and just jumping and singing and screaming when the song ended. they did their final bow, calum said "YES SINGAPORE", michael said something else and then they went offstage and i just teared a little then because it was an amazing night.

so yeah that was my slflsingapore experience it was such an awesome night just jamming to my favourite band live!!!! we took a couple of (shaky videos) because i was jumping around while video-ing. we got some really special moments in the video too and yeah this experience was like no other and it was such an amazing night basically. i wanted to jump and sing and look at them on stage at the same time. and unless it was because i was really tired/ to take a break, i would be found shouting and jumping around. but basically, 3/3/16 8.20-9.50pm was a memorable night.

i might have missed out some stuff from the concert but izok i had fun!!!

----A LEVELS RESULT RELEASE----

so being J2s, we had to go and see our seniors receive their A levels results on 4/3/16. the thought of me being the one to collect my results next year this time really scares me. but yeah the school presented the most improved students who entered pj with average L1R5 scores who scored well for A's, all-rounder students, and special mentions. it took a whole hour i think. and we saw the percentage passes and A/B. for lit, it was 100% pass, 84% A/B. for history, it was 100% pass, 80% A/B. and i actually feel really scared right now. there were quite a number of seniors from our combi who went up onstage for getting good grades for A's and me joey and safura were like "yeah we can do this we can do this". and i didn't really see many seniors. i couldn't recognise yanhao at first HAHAHA and joey saw dexuan who was wearing a cap lol and i talked to darren for a while cos we passed by each other at the ramp. :) anyway congrats seniors on your results!!! basically this year's cohort performed the best in a decade since the syllabus changed... and our batch will be the last batch taking this syllabus so....... idk i'm so scared and stressed and confused rn i really don't know what to do. common test gp starts this friday and i think i'm more or less screwed for common test. i don't want to meet the principal/vice principal........... sigh. i need to be disciplined and have more self control. for goodness sake, it's already march omg. ok.

road run 2016!!

hello hello just wanted to post a short one about annual road run which happened like this afternoon! i was initially quite sian about it and wanted to pon so badly because last year was super boring and stuff but actually this year's road run wasn't as bad as i thought it would be!!

so we started by gathering in the canteen and it was super crowded and messy cos the whole school was there and like me and joey walked around to find and talk to people HAHA (because that's what we're best at doing am i right). so we lepak-ed and talked to some people until we had to go to the parade square for warm up which was led by yuchin and other football guys and that's when we (aka class girls) started becoming a little noisy LOL. but ok. then the competitive race started and me and joey and xintien went to the fence there like last year and cheered for people that we know. HAHA i think this year was more fun cos we know more people i guess? and we just cheered and i swear i think i was super noisy and got judged by a lot of people LOL and i just wanna apologise to the people whom i embarrassed with my overenthusiastic cheering but hey, a little more encouragement does help, right? HAHAH LOVE YA'LL OK. and after the competitive race when i saw some people i was like "eh i cheer for you got hear me anot" like to joseph teo and zacchaeus HAHAHA sorry i v annoying. then we slacked around until it was time for fun run.

more like fun walk. so everyone was gathered at the parade square and we did a darwin cheer first before starting on the walk and like yay we're the first house to leave. so yeah we walked and walked and walked and walked with xintien and laughed and this time they didn't u turn at the bridge what!!!!! so a few of us um like cut HAHAH but we did run a bit ok so ya!! (and at the end of the day mr koh also said that we did not bad at the road walk something like that). it was damn funny LOL cos usually i'm not this badass HAHAHA. and to random people who were running the fun run, i was just like "jia you jia you" being the encouraging person that i am. :-----) then slowly everyone came back and we had a little mini class talk at the end of the canteen before we had to go up to the hall for prize presentation.

and this year, keller was sitting in front so i think there was a bit more hype?? plus i was feeling a little high already la. and before the start of the prize presentation, every house had to do a cheer. and me joey and jasleen were like shouting every single cheer because this was probably the last time that we were gonna say it? and for keller the house capt and vice capt were deciding between extinguisher and k formation cheer but we did extinguisher and they asked us to do and shout along and we did like legit shouting HAHAH you can totally imagine my high-pitched voice especially darwin 4 and mg32 and 16s18 (love yall miss yall). and i think we did it quite loudly? and at the end the capt (i think elizabeth) thanked us for being sporting hahah. and like throughout the whole prize presentation we were cheering (and shouting whoops) for people we knew HAHAH sorry again guys all the love, and also clapping for random people la. and at the end, they announced the house placings and it was a really nervous time like legit!! the house capt and vice capt were right in front of me and they looked so nervous too. so the emcees announced the 6th, 5th and 4th placing and after every placing, each house did a cheer. and much to my surprise, keller wasn't in there!!! then the top 3 houses were nobel, darwin and keller. and the emcee asked darwin to do a cheer before saying "and that was the cheer of the house in 3rd place" and i was SURPRISED. HAHAH then left keller and nobel and keller did a cheer before nobel cos we stood up first lol. and after nobel's cheer, the emcee said "and that's nobel in second place" AND SO KELLER GOT FIRST??!?!! i was legit super shocked HAHAHA and joey and jasleen were like jumping beside me but i was too embarrassed to jump because i was right in the middle aisle HAHAHA but ok chill. we thought keller would get third but no then second but no and in the end first!

but yeah. i think i did enjoy myself today with all the screaming and talking and laughing. i think the last time i screamed this much was during orientation HAHA. no pictures today but oh well!!!
