So, it's obvious from the title that this post is about Sumatra trip which happened exactly a year ago, and today would be the third day. Actually, I wasn't really excited for this trip because we had youngteens retreat a week before that, we became very close, and I thought it would suck not to be able to meet them for a week in Sumatra. But things turned out differently. I never regret going to Sumatra with the Council family.
So today last year was our second day in ECHO, and our first day at work at the school. Doing manual jobs like mixing cement, levelling cement, moving soil and everything. It was hard work. I almost wanted to give up, but then I saw the kids during their break, they were smiling at us and happy that we were there to build a basketball court for them, and I decided otherwise. The kids there were really friendly. Even though they were so much younger than us, they still came and play and talk to us during our breaks. And we even took photos on the first day we met one another. :') the genuine smiles on their faces when they see us for the three days melted my heart. I guess, because they hardly have people going to visit them. The days with the kids were simple joy and I could never ask for more. They were so happy that we were there and they even remembered us on the second day. I was touched when they still remember my name when I went back to the school for the next few days. I learnt to be grateful with what I have not take things for granted. The kids there, they used the sharp tools we use to level the cement and play with it, like toys. And they were very happy with it. And what do I do all day but complain.. they don't complain about anything at all, and they are happy with what they have. Also, when it was our last day and we were preparing to leave ECHO, some of the kids came to ECHO in their bicycles and motor cycles to send us off. They even chased the bus for a distance. I was so touched I almost teared. We had only known them for 3 days, and they sent us off. For some reason, this scene has been etched in my mind ever since. I miss them so much.♥♥
Also, because of this trip, we got to bond with our seniors, cohortmates and groupmates. Having heart to heart talks, playing shoot shag marry and just random singings in the buses really brought 24 of us closer together. Well I had a really epic time in my group cos the people in my were really hilarious. Group 3 love♥♥ hahahah damn gay. Its also in the seven days where CCHY one direction was formed. Can't be compared to One Direction though. But the 5 seniors really helped us a lot ans taught us things. They were also the ones who hyped all of us up and took care of us. (LOL).
I can't put how much I miss Sumatra into words.
I miss laughing like crazy with the councillors wherever we were.
I miss the cooling waterfalls at ECHO. (super shiok)
I miss the kids in the school.
I miss the epic bus rides we had.
I miss everything that happened from 24/11/12-30/11/12.
I miss Sumatra.♥♥

Relaxing friday as we had nothing on. But we went to admps to accompany Jiajuan to get her PSLE results. She got like 14 more marks than me I cannot.... had pepper lunch and bibimbab for lunch yay fats!!!! Hahaha. And then went home and basically slacked for the whole afternoon. Yup yup yup. Went to collect our visa and now we're all ready for HYC!!!! Woohoooo~ okay and we had dinner at the Banana Leaf Apolo Restaurant. Spicy food mehhhhhh. Then we headed to church. Theo scared us at the bus interchange LOL calling us "kids" seriously Theo, seriously? Combined worship with the campus.... and today, the teens had fun time! We played like, childhood games, XL version cos we've all grown LOL. Like the London bridge, thumb-fight, the one hand catch one hand escape, and something like musical chairs LOL. I don't know how to describe, but yeah. At 9.30, we stopped. And the teens and campus who were going hyc had a sharing by Rachel, Rebecca, Ryan and Arthur as they have gone there 3 years ago, telling us what to expect, safety and stuffs. I am excited and scared and nervous right now. Hahaha. There's gonna be people from London, Boston, Guangzhou, New Delhi, Netherlands, Jakarta, KL all around the globe! Less than a month to go!!!!

CCHY OPEN HOUSE 2013. Which also means, we have to reach school at normal time --> we have to leave house at normal time --> we have to wake up at normal time --> 5.50am. Woke up at 4.10am because it was raining really really heavily. And I didn't wake up when I had to because it was so comfortable!!! It was drizzling when we were in our way to school. So we had a first briefing by Ms Serena, and a second briefing by Mr Ang and then we had 5 minutes to rest before starting our duties. Basically I was in blazer attire (school blouse, aline skirt and court shoes <my aline skirt and court shoes were tight ugh>) and I stood at the entrance of the foyer greeting people and asking them if they wanted a guided tour or free and easy. At first were very few people, and since Tingyin was doing the counter thing, I talked to him a bit hahaha. And yup I did that for the 5 hours of open house with some breaks in between. Saw Yan hui and Nicole!!!!! They were a few of Jiajuan's bestfriends back in WRPS. Yup then I went to LT for awhile supposedly to guide people down to the lobby but.... the principal's sharing was a bit lengthy hahaha. Jiajuan came with Davina and they went to see the wushu and id. Jiajuan even went to do a chin stand and a qianfan i'm like in blazer attire being like wth. And everyone was saying I'm wearing an oversized blazer BUT GUYS ITS THE SMALLEST SIZE. Oh and joyer apparently got a new bff. Joke. Of. The. Year. AHAHAHAH seriously joeyer please dont. ahaha. And at 1k people coming into our school, Tingyin took a picture of the counter and instagrammed it. LOL I managed to take his phone and type in the caption ;) ahahaha. It made him sound crazy. Well he is already crazy for wanting to instagram that counter, no? During breaks (short ones), I managed to talk to a few juniors like Joey and Melvin.... also known as Momo. He's one funny sec1 hahaahah and now, I'm looking forward to SC camp in 4 days' time!! There was this family that asked me about the distance between khatib mrt and cchy I'm like wutt..... okay okay lor hahahah. Walking that distance for 3 years and counting . My feet and shoulders were aching. Managed to have a tau-huey break for all councillors. And there was a time I was having mine in the SC room, and then Chifa came LOL. He looks really different compared to.... last year? Hahaha but he was like "you guys are one interesting bunch..." and we're like "too bad you graduate already" HAHAHAH he went into the SC room and was shocked/amazed HAHAHA. At 1pm after my duty I rushed to the AVA room in the school blouse and Aline skirt (major retard here) only to get pt. LOL guise please. Met Jiajuan and Davina at northpoint where I had my lunch and went home really tired because it was super super hot. What a tiring day. And my heels still hurt. I should catch up on my sleep tonight. [A lot of things happened during Open House LOL but I just can't seem to phrase it here hahahaha]

Woke up in the morning at like 7am to have mac breakfast cos jana was going. It was so early I cannot. But at least we got dad to drive us like we unexpectedly saw him and yah it was lucky of us cos it was peak period and the bus would be very very crowded. (I've had enough of squeezing in public transports ok). Phew. But hey macdonalds breakfast hahahaha. Whoops fats. Ate my fill. Yay. And she has cute juniors ohmy hahahahah ok really horh. Anyway go back home and spammed because some X factor contestants were having a follow spree andddddd. I got folowed by Colton Pack (from restless road), Tim Olstad, and Sweet Suspense the group. SO NOW I am followed by Dani, Chase, Colton, Tim and Sweet Suspense OHMYGAH AAHAHAHAHAAHA. But that's because I spammed so sorry for those whose timeline was spammed by me hahahahah but yay!!!!!!! :-) :-)

Was in school at like 8.50 because we had briefing for open house. The sec1s were awkwardly standing outside so uh me and Joey just went in and I sat on the roller chair (hashtag) likeaboss. Well there was still the mess from Gradnight last week, and there was a dead cockroach lying down there. EW. Major ew. So we sat there until like the sec2s brought the sec1s in. And we sat awkwardly in the SC room waiting for others to come. Ms Serena conducted the briefing in the SC room. And there was an epic moment when I was gesturing to Cindy to tell her to come sit at the sofa, we did it like behind teacher because we were afraid to get caught. Then Ms Serena was like "don't talk behind my butt." LOL the whole room burst into laughter. Afterwards we went around the school, following the tour map so that we would be familiarised with the route.  Afterwards teacher went level by level to like let them practice. During the breaks, we had EXCO meeting LOL to try to finalise details. AND I WAS ON TWITTER. and RACHEL POTTER FOLLOWED ME. I only tweeted her twice and she followed me omg I was all smiles for the rest of the meeting. So time passed with the Sec1s...... Then sec2s...... then afterwards Mr Ang came in to give us another briefing LOL. This year my duty is much easier, I just have to stand there and greet and smile and ask visitors if they want a guided tour or free and easy. BUT I'll have to wear a blazer. With Singapore's very hot weather these few days..... let's hope I'll be able to survive those 5 hours on Saturday. Yup then Ms Serena dismissed the lower sec and she wanted us to practice. But we were like "Ms Serena last year we do already, no need la." And in the end we didn't do. xD nyehehehe. So the sec3s there were all EXCOs..... who happened to all be Saikang Warriors. So we wanted to have lunch together but the guys had to do some logistics stuff so the girls waited for the guys in the SC room, blasting music and stuff. Like last year, after open house briefing, Saikang Warriors went to Subway to have lunch. This year, we went to Subway to have lunch too! ;) hehehehe. Just me Joey Eugina Sheryl Jiahui Eecheng and Yongkai. Zuyuan had Cca.... but Kaiwen joined us afterwards. After our lunch, we went to safra. Choosing between pool and bowling. In the end they decided to bowl. But I did not, because I had no bucks yup it was epic as always hahaha. So we took a few group pictures there and the girls CANWHORED. Typical girls hahahaha. There was this epic moment where I was sitting beside Sheryl on the floor and Sheryl started singing Infinite songs. By the way, I am not a kpop fan. So yah she was singing and dancing and her facial expressions were so funny I started laughing like crazy. I'm serious. You can ask Kaiwen and Eugina ahahahaha. Then afterwards one time she was dancing, she hit her hand backwards and her hand hit Yongkai! Once again, I laughed and almost teared! And nearing the end of their game, we just sat in a circle and talk about advertisments and random things hahahahah. Like after one person bowls, he/she will join in the circle and talk while the next person bowls until its his/her turn. Yay! We then made our way back to school at 1.30 for SC camp briefing. We were early and so we sat outside the ITR room. And for some reason, we started singing. LOL. Trued singing wrecking ball without change of face (?) And then we just sang random songs.... and laughed. Even when our juniors were around. HAHAHAHA shameless sec3s  but hey we had fun singing songs like Love Story, Best Song Ever, Payphone etcetc hahahaha! Then Ms Serena came up and she was like "I could hear Joween's laughter from the secind floor right after I stepped out of the staff room." O O P S. HAHAHAHA we were laughing a lot. :X sorry guise! So we had the briefing in the ITR room, a really short one. Talking about the packing list, rules and regulations, program flow and then collection of money for SC hoodie YAY I CANT WAIT FOR IT TO COME YAR. Then the normal peeps stayed back to count the money and we heaved a sigh of relief when the amount was correct. :) afterwards we trained with Jiahui. We saw zanny at np we were on opposite escalators and she was drinking starbucks and she offered us and i almost drank it hahahaah. YAY happy day with my Saikang doing the things we did last year after open house brieifing hehehe. ♥ below are only a few of the pics we took today! I ♥ saikang warriors.
