Last day of school today... still, quite a number of people didn't wear tie for the last time this year. /Shakes head/ during the first period, the sec2s and sec3 express put our bags into our classrooms and headed to the parade square again after morning assembly. Omg, 2H was the ONLY CLASS which wore full pe attire oops :x. Because, we were gonna form human letters! :D the sec3s and teachers did 中正人 while the sec2s did CCHY! :D we took quite some time to form the words, but in the end, we still did it. :) pictures and videos were taken and I thought that this idea is totally cool? Haha! Afterwards for the last picture, all of us gathered around and a final picture was taken. Okay it's so cool and uniquely CCHY! :) <3 I mean like 中正人 and CCHY. :') but why? You may ask. Because Mr Ong is retiring. Sad, I know. Afterwards was free period for us and we got this term's school newsletter! Jessica wrote an article about #ndp2012 but why ain't there an article about guangzhou camp? :( there wasn't much to do for recess duty today because the sports hall was surprisingly empty today. Headed to the lt afterwards supposedly for police talk. But me Jiahui and Joey left before the talk even started for rehearsal for Mr Ong's farewell during assembly. Sigh. Had two rehearsals. Sat on the chairs and chui AC, ran around to find certain people, sweat backstage and outside the mph xD talked about streaming too sigh sigh. I said to Kai Kiat "go away I don't want to see your face next year" cos he's so pro and then he said "i also don't want right" LOLOLOL. It was a looooooooong two and a half hours before the whole event started. And seriously har the sec1 monitors, see us jiu clap clap clap. My part was a short one heh. Anyways, I felt that today was the first time we prepared something so grandly for a school occasion, and have teacher emcees. I mean yeah our PRINCIPAL is retiring... first was the entrance of Mr Ong, on red carpet! The whole school rose to welcome him. There was lion dance and other stuffs too. Then, the sec1s recited a poem and gave a token to Mr Ong and the sec2s just gave the token to Mr Ong. The sec3s had a short performance. First was a couple dance "can I have this dance" aww hsm! It's been so long since I heard this song! Zhi Sheng dance until so awkward one and he didn't smile, poker face only!xD and he said he volunteered to dance seyh! That's called a model SC, being initiative! next was hip hop, very catchy, and they did a cheer before I handed the token to Brandon for him to pass to Mr Ong. Joined at the back of our class afterwards. Then the sec4s gave the token. Afterwards, a video, made by the teachers was played, and the psg presented their token in CHEEM CHINESE. SCs also made a speech by Emily and Brandon for Mr Ong. Then was the speech by Mr Yap. He cried halfway through, and there was one part when he paused for so long, that we all clapped for him to encourage him. Afterwards was a speech by Mr Ong himself. 相信行就行,不行也行。相信不行就不行,行也不行.中正人. well lan, chung cheng. some of the few things he said. :') and when he said "well lan" we all clapped, I'm sure we'll miss this part of him. The upper sec had a standing ovation after his speech. Then, we sang the school song. It was the first time this year, that the school song was sang so loudly, with each and every one of us singing it with a sense of pride of being a chungcheng-nian. :') the saddest part for me, was when Mr Yap and Mrs Chong escorted Mr Ong out of the mph. Everyone clapped ever so loudly and I'm sure we all felt sadness. We had a short streaming briefing afterwards. :O sigh, so indecisive! Had a farewell class party for Ms Siti afterwards. Almost everyone was wearing class tee, and I started the trend of having collar tee (uniform and tee outside) ;) the pizza only came at 3. So to kill time, we took pictures! :) I only took with a few people though. And okay seriously, the height difference between me and Aloysius is super a lot! But between me and Dennis is better lah. And for once, in the picture I am taller than Jackson! :D then we watched a short video "inspired by the truman show" called the tru-siti show xD ! Hahaha it was soooooo funny! Especially our part and the guys part and Min Ray's epic pictures! Goodness was laughing so dang much! The pizza finally came and we ate them in like less than 20 minutes and munched on the snacks too! ^^ and I felt the class bond that we had together. Again. Time flies and soon it was 4. The dancers then went for cca. Outside staff room there we saw Ms Ang and we took a picture with her. :) dance. Did a qianfan only once. Liting and fengting came. Had hardcore pt! Saw Maybel in the bus. Tonight, almost all the chungcheng-nians tried to trend #中正人 . The chungcheng spirit was definitely instilled in all of us. It was so heartwarming to see all of us being united. And was touched when some CCHMS people also helped to trend! :') although we couldn't trend it, but it was all chungcheng-nians coming together, portraying our chung cheng spirit. :')
School will be so much different with Mr Ong's retirement. Although I've only be in CCHY for 2years, but from hearing the SCs and Mr Yap's speech, he has really contributed and sacrificed a lot for CCHY. I'll definitely miss his mispronounced "well done", his speeches to encourage us. Being the father of our school wasn't an easy role. But he did it for six years. Mr Ong was surely a true 中正人, and he will be missed by all of us.
2H'12 all those crazy times we had together will definitely be missed. There's so much to say, but it can't be expressed in words. Thanks so much for the wonderful memories. 2H DON'T STOP, CAN'T STOP, UNTIL WE REACH THE TOP! ♥
